Can anyone tell me what breads you can buy at the supermarket that do not contain dairy to save me from reading all the labels. Thanks.

Hi thanks Binkie that website is great. I too have to be dairy free while breastfeeding and I am vegan so am struggling. The website will be good for my otwo year old who has allergies. I never know what to buy him for snacks etc.

I buy Simply Organic range of breads that don't contain dairy products, no preservatives and the benefit of being organic - plus tastes good. Just note because it doesn't contain all the preservatives etc it doesn't keep fresh out as long so freeze after a couple of days.

Thanks Binkie and Denise. I just recently found out my dd has a dairy allergy and I am bf so have to go dairy free as well. I am pretty clueless about the whole thing so yes that helps.

hey Denise thanks for that....my doctor has asked me to stop all dairy products for a month see if my son is lactose intolarant. we eat the budget bread..so that helps knowing that there is no dairy in it. Cheers :)

I am allergic to dairy, but also a vegan, so the following bread brands do not contain dairy:
Nature's Fresh / Quality Bakers- all of them have no dairy, but I think there raspberry buns have dairy in them (it is the icing that has dairy, not the bread itself). I was glad I was able to have hot cross buns this year, as theirs had no dairy!
I have found that all other brands have dairy in them under the name of milk solids and whey powder/protein....
I was gutted when I had to stop eating Vogel's, because they are silly enough to put milk soilds in it now!
You will find that most budget brands of bread are dairy free, as they cut out milk to cut down on production costs.
Hope that helps!
