Do I let my son sleep through tea if he is sick?

What would you like to talk about?

I'm hoping someone can put my mind at ease :) My son has come down with a cold quite rapidly today and didn't have his usual day sleep due to having visitors. It has come to 5 o'clock, he's miserable and tired and has just fallen asleep on me so I put him to bed. Should I wake him to have something to eat or just offer him something if he wakes in the night. I have a feeling he won't wake until the early morning but I still feel bad for letting him sleep through a meal. What would you guys do?

How's the wee one today? I hope he's feeling better.

I'd leave him to sleep and feed him when he wakes, if he wants anything. My kids always go off their food when they're ill.

Bf if you're still feeding him, something soft and soothing otherwise. Stew up some apples or pears if you have them, that's always gentle.
