Steam mops?

What would you like to talk about?

Anyone got one or trialled one?
They sound too good to be true does this mean they are??

I have bought a Bissell steam mop after if was recomended. I was a bit apprehensive about them, in case they were a big marketing ploy but it really is BRILLIANT. I have probably washed my very large area of wooden floors more in thelast 2 weeks than since we have owned this house. It was always a two man job and many buckets of water, and a couple of hours worth of effort, now I can have it done in 20 mins. Doesn't leave too much water, no more than a sponge mop. Now I just wonder why i never got one earlier.

I trialled it and returned it & got the $20 refund - it was good but left water on the wood floor - it was fine on our tiles though. Ended up buying an H20 steam mop off TM $1 reserve (think I got it for around $100) - it also left a lot of water but I quite liked it - just went over the floor with a towel afterwards. Unfortunately it blew up on me about 3 months after I bought it and there was no warranty etc so that's that - no more steam mops for me!

Thanks Pipsy, good to hear of someone who has one and uses it, im a bit of a sucker for 'wonder gadgets' and usually they do nothing more than gather dust! Will have a look on TM, I also wondered just how much they cost as they never mention it on tv so it must be mega bucks! ANyone know??

I was wondering this too. Did you see it on Good Morning?? They didnt say how much they were either just 19.99 trial. What happens after the trial does that mean you have to pay an extra 100????
