or hop like a kangaroo. This meant that she had some choice in the end result of getting to the toilet i also kept toys/ books that can only be played with or read if she sat on the toilet. Toys that i found that worked well were ones that my girl did not normally play with eg a whistle although i even resorted to letting her use my cell phone on locked mode or an i pod to listen to music. I have a 2 and a half year old and he has no interest in the toilet or potty. I work as an early childhood teacher and work with toddlers. I see the struggle alot of parents have with getting their child interested in toilet training. Some of our three year olds are going to preschool still bot toilet trained. Don't panic as your child will let you know when he's ready. We have sticker charts at daycare and these have been a great incentive for the children. Another idea we are looking at is a step stool so the children can get on the toilet by themself. Just another way for their independance to grow. We also have bright pictures of wild animals on the wall to brighten up the area. Just keep asking and he may surprise you one day. I just keep asking mine if he wants to go on the toilet but at the moment I get a stern "no". Perserverence may pay off one day.
