Post Pregnancy Belly Wrap

What would you like to talk about?

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has or is considering using a Post Pregnancy Belly Wrap, I have read that they are great to help your abdominal and back muscles recover from pregnancy and birth and minimises water retention among other health benefits. I would really apprieciate any advice anyone has on this

Thanks for your replies ladies, I spoke to a physio therapist today and she said tubigrip is the best and to ask for it after I have had the baby so that will save me some $$.

I think a bellywrap is a good idea, I was surprised after my birth how uncomfortable my stomach was and it was just hanging there and made it hard to breathe, a belly wrap would have held it in while things got back into place for that first couple of weeks. I bought an expensive Vespa wrap online ($90) and found I couldn't wear it, it was really rigid so as soon as you sat down it pushed up into your boobs so I could only wear it if I was standing - and in those first couple of weeks you are mostly sitting feeding so definitely regret that purchase. If you could find one that wasn't rigid (like the stretchy bandage stuff mentioned before) that would be a good idea.

    hi

I had a giant piece of tubigrip (that strecthy circular bandage stuff) that the physio gave me after my section with DD. It helped with comfort loads, but not sure if it did much else!

    xx
