I have 5 children and all but my youngest took a lot longer to get into solids. They preferred Mum's milk and it took ages for them to want chunky food or finger food - probably closer to 12 months. We had our DS on it as he seemed super unsettled etc... and we were told to try it, massive mistake as he got so constipated on it, which I've now found out is common. DS is now 5.5 months old, and we've finally been diagnosed with silent reflux. He seemed hungry all the time and was super unsettled. Luckily here in Hamilton we have the Waikato Family Centre, where you can walk in off the street with your screaming baby and they will get you sorted!Have you taken him to GP? What formula do you have him on?? Could you try distracting him? The doctor told me that we really need to monitor her thyroid stimulating hormone that's why she is always having blood test.. It's very hard for me to see my daughter crying everytime she's having a blood test in the hospital.. =( I've never been heard about the congenital hypothyroidism ever since in my life but I don't have anything to do because she really needs to be tested also for the doctor to know the result and adjustment of the dosage of her medicine..
