Well i'm new in Tangiteroria, just moved from Hamilton and its all been a bit daunting...
Hamilton is nice but what can you do there? The answer... Not a lot. So me and my partner decided to move, he wanted to go north where its warmer and there is good fishing.
Come the weekend of June 25th 2012 we started the big move and talk about big it seems to never end...
Finally we are now getting settled in Tangiteroria. It has been a lovely couple of weeks, everyone i've met so far is very nice. But there is so much to do! I'm glad we moved before the baby comes as getting this place (3 acres) into shape is definitely going to take some time. Did I mention we have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 3 sheep, 2 goats, 2 ducks and like 60 chickens to settle in... The cow never made it up as she was too hard to move, which broke my heart.
Next obstacle is getting ready for the baby. Its scary up here. In Hamilton there are these nice birthing centres but up here you have to go to Whangarei and no one has told me one good thing about the place. I am thankful I've found an awesome independent midwife, she definitely helped to settle the nerves a bit.
Well I guess that is about as far as I am in the moving process but I do look forward to meeting new people up here and hopefully making a great group of friends. If you live in the area I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for reading!
