A wonderful winter chocolate treat that's great to make with your little bakers and is a great gift for your loved ones.

Ingredients

Layer ingredients into a 1.5-litre glass jar in the following order: 

1 cup of flour mixed with 2 teaspoons of baking powder and 1 teaspoon of baking soda 

1/2 cup of brown sugar mixed with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon

1/2 cup white sugar 

1 cup whole rolled oats 

1 cup flour 

1/2 cup chocolate morsels 

1/2 cup chopped walnuts 

1/2 cup chopped dried apricots


Make a label or tag and write these instructions on it: 

Preheat the oven to 180 ̊C and line a large loaf tin with baking paper. 

In a large bowl, mix together the contents of this jar. 

Melt 60 grans of butter and whisk in 1/2 cups of buttermilk, 2 eggs and 1 cup of mashed banana (approximately 3 medium-sized bananas). 

Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.

Pour the mixture into a large loaf tin and fill until just over three-quarters full. 

Bake for 45-50 minutre until the loaf is golden brown and a skewer inserted comes out clean.
